Why should I take the course?  You will be supported and guided as you make stunning solid silver jewellery on this fun and inspiring workshop.  You will take home at least two solid hallmark-quality silver pieces of jewellery that you've designed and made by the end of the day.

What will I learn?  How to work with silver clay successfully, including how to finish and fire your pieces correctly.  You will also be introduced to some basic traditional silverwork skills.   You will be using Art Clay 650 silver clay.

How many other students will there be?  Places on this course are strictly limited to a maximum of seven students, ensuring you will benefit from plenty of individual attention.  If you prefer to learn on your own, one-to-one tuition with Sarah Jane Whittaker is also available.

What do past students say?  Sue Saunders said:  "Fantastic – exactly what I wanted.  I would love to do more.  Sarah Jane has the perfect teaching style.  Thoroughly enjoyed it."  Simon Sherning said:  "Sarah Jane is welcoming, and explains techniques clearly and with enthusiasm.  The studio is well laid out and inspirational.  Generally the course does more than start you, it makes you want more."    [See Reviews for more]

What can I go on to do after the course?  After taking this course, many students enrol on one of our more advanced silver clay courses, or deepen their skills by learning soldering, or learn how to add colour to their designs.
